New York attorney Thomas Foley, of Foley Griffin LLP, will represent Innocent Demesyeux in his case against Leatrice Brewer (see Matter of Demesyeux, 350391).
Brewer is seeking a cut of Demesyeux’s settlements from the wrongful death ruling in the deaths of their two children, Innocent Demesyeux Jr. and Michael Demesyeux (see July 12th Newsday article on the case.) Brewer has confessed to killing the children, but was found “not guilty”, on account of mental disease.
“The only reason that there is money in this estate is because of her actions,” attorney Thomas Foley was quoted in a July 12 Wall Street Journal article. “She killed the kids and now there’s money.”
