Tom Foley serves as panelist at CLE event at the Nassau County Bar Association

Foley Griffin partner, Tom Foley, Hosted a CLE event at the Nassau County Bar Association on today’s date. The focus of the presentation was cyber-security issues confronting attorneys.

Panelists, Michael Glasser from Glasser Tech and Terrence Tang of CHIPS Technology Group educated the attendees on the benefits of having a professional handling a law firm’s cybersecurity needs. Recent updates to the law have made it mandatory for lawyers to protect the confidential information of clients.

Attorneys who don’t provide the proper protections of their client’s personal information may be in violation of the law and the ethical standards demanded of attorneys.
