Crime lab evidence, and the results of crime lab tests, are important to attorneys. Crime lab personnel deal closely with evidence, analyzing and compiling the data. Field analysts are on the crime scene, collecting evidence; and laboratory analysts run all the necessary tests on it.

Test Results Need to be Reliable

Erroneous results can lead to the wrong person being accused. It is very important that attorneys can rely on crime lab test results to be correct, so that the case can move forward. This is why Foley Griffin was one of the first law firms in Nassau County to bring to light the Nassau County crime lab case. Nearly 9,000 drug cases dating to late 2007 had to be reviewed, after a spot check of nine cases revealed that six of them had been inaccurately analyzed.
