Representing Personal Injury & Wrongful Death Victims
Attorney Kelly Guthy joined the firm in 2012 and primarily focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death. She is responsible for drafting all legal documents from the inception of a case through trial, in addition to all the firms’ civil motions, oppositions and appeals. Kelly also evaluates and reviews clients’ medical records, drafts settlement packages and negotiates with bodily injury adjustors in the event that litigation is not deemed a feasible course of action.
As a second-year student at St. John’s University School of Law, Kelly began working for a solo practitioner and continued in that position for the following 10 years. In that capacity, she handled a variety of cases including criminal and civil RICO, general civil and commercial litigation and franchise litigation. During the time, she perfected her writing skills and authored countless criminal and civil motions and appeals at both the state and federal court levels. Following her time as an associate, Kelly took a leave of absence from practice to raise her 3 girls. She is admitted to practice in New York State and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
