From Tom’s first job as a prosecutor to his current role as a personal injury attorney, he has always been fighting for victims. It was a smooth transition from advocating for crime victims, to speaking for accident victims. Victims need a voice. They need to be heard. They need to make sure that the “system” does not take advantage of them. Tom provides that protection and gives victims their voice.

Tom has been a partner at Foley Griffin for 25 years. He has the necessary experience and training to successfully navigate the most complex personal injury matters. Past results demonstrate this. But the choice to work with Tom on your personal injury case should really be about what you want from your attorney. Do you want a law firm that spends enormous sums of money on marketing to gather a staggering number of clients? Or do you prefer a partner, like Tom, who, along with his team, will work directly with you? Tom’s firm, Foley Griffin, is not a volume law firm on purpose. Tom would much prefer working with a limited number of clients. This allows him to personally interact with all his clients on a regular basis. Tom and his staff have a motto, “If a client calls and asks what is going on with his/her case, where did we go wrong?” Tom, and his team, don’t wait for calls. He and his team actively contact the firm’s clients on a regular basis, to discuss their case, even if nothing is going on. The commitment to communicate with clients is a bedrock principle of the firm.

Tom feels that his experience as a professor at St. John’s School of Law is what helped him craft the relationship that he has with his clients. As a professor at the law school, it is Tom’s job to explain laws, legal processes, and the Courts to his students. As a personal injury attorney, Tom is the person to explain, plan, and navigate the path of the accident victim. Yet in the same way education is a two-way road, so too is the attorney-client relationship. Tom would not be a successful attorney, without the help, assistance, and cooperation of his clients.
